Release: Reclaiming America 2012

WICHITA, KS – Congressman Mike Pompeo was joined by Kansas Lt. Governor Jeff Colyer and nearly two dozen Republican State House and Senate primary winners to discuss a vision to bring common sense leadership to both Washington, DC and Topeka.

“This week, Kansas voters spoke loud and clear about their desire to restore common sense values and leadership to Topeka and Washington, DC,” Pompeo said.  “Now we must join together to right the course and direction of our nation and our state.”

Republican primary winners from across the 4th District of Kansas joined Congressman Pompeo and Lt. Governor Colyer at Team Pompeo Headquarters in Wichita for the news conference.

“We cannot afford to continue in the direction we are headed.  The Obama tax and spend machine clearly is not the answer.  Our nation’s out of control spending and relentless use of government power to regulate our business owners, job creators, entrepreneurs and farmers in Kansas continues to destroy jobs.  Kansans—like many Americans—are out of work.  They are tired of the empty promises made by big government spending, bailouts and burdensome regulation.

“Today, these men and women gathered here with me are committed to the success of Kansas.  We are all concerned about the future of our great state and nation.  Never before has there been a more important election.  We commit to working hard between now and November to be sure the right leaders are elected.  We will then continue our commitment to represent hard working Kansans who know more spending and higher taxes are not the answer,” Pompeo concluded.
